Twitter

Twitter supports share buttons and follower counts. Share counts aren't available.

Follower counts require credentials from a Twitter developer application with access to the API used by your account. Store each value in an environment variable so it isn't written directly to project config.

1. Open Settings → Social Share → Providers → Twitter in the Craft control panel.
2. Select the environment variable containing your Client ID.
3. Select the environment variable containing your Client Secret.
4. Save the provider.

Your Twitter developer account and access level determine whether follower requests are permitted.
